Our Rooms & Facilities

Tŷ Bryn caters for just 6 guests in 3 double ensuite bedrooms. Two guest rooms have a far reaching river view and the third enjoys a peaceful rear garden and woodland hillside aspect. You are welcome to relax in the comfort of the sitting room, breakfast room or garden terrace and make use of the excellent Wifi and the local information and maps to hand. We also provide off-road parking, an Electric Vehicle Charge Point (guests to provide their own charge lead) and outside wash facilities for your muddy bikes and boots.

Do take a look at our Access Statement for detailed information about Ty Bryn’s layout.

Thistle is the master guest room where you can snuggle down in the king-sized wooden sleigh bed and gaze out across one of the most stunning views in the Wye Valley. The hotel-grade mattress is new for 2017 and, together with the microfibre duvets, pillows, soft cotton sheets and cushions, you can enjoy that extra touch of comfort. There is plenty of storage space for your belongings, also WiFi, flat-screen TV, a hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities, alarm clock and filtered water. The en-suite with large shower includes lots of shelf space and essentials, including mirror with shaver socket, toiletries and towels.

Daffodil is an attractive room with warm décor and that lovely elevated river view that you can enjoy from the comfort of your bed or from the table and chairs in the window. The bed is a metal framed king-sized bed with hotel-grade mattress, microfibre duvets and pillows and crisp white cotton sheets. The simple furniture offers plenty of space for your belongings and there is also WiFi, flat-screen TV, hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities and filtered water.   The en-suite shower room is small but it is neatly designed to provide all the essentials, including mirror with shaver socket, toiletries, towels, hooks and shelving for your things.

Rose, our smallest room, is a pretty, peaceful room at the rear of the house overlooking the back terraced garden, an old smithy courtyard and the wooded hillside above. Simple pine furniture provides storage and the metal frame bed is a UK-size double bed (4’6″ X 6’3″ or 135cm x 190cm) with hotel grade mattress, soft cream linen and allergy free bedding. There is also free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TV, tea and coffee making facilities, alarm clock, hairdryer and filtered water. A room information pack provides plenty of information about the area, including local walks and great pubs. The en-suite shower room with its spacious shower has shelf space, a mirror with shaver socket, toiletries and towels.

Relaxing & Dining

Our comfy sitting room and front garden terrace are great spaces to put up your feet and relax after your day’s activities. You can borrow binoculars to spot wildlife (possibly even otters) and watch the ebb and flow of the River Wye, browse our wide range of reading and coffee-table books, play board games or simply put your feet up in front of the wood-burning stove (lit in the cooler months).   To help you choose where to dine out we have a folder full of menus from the local pubs, restaurants and bistros, and we’re happy to make suggestions and give directions.   In our bright breakfast room with communal table you can enjoy a healthy and hearty breakfast at your own pace.

Walking & Cycling Facilities

As keen walkers, cyclists and kayakers we know how important it is to look after your kit, to get it cleaned off and dry for the next day and to know that it is stored securely. The facilities are here for you to use, plus we have lots of information about the many outdoor activities in the area and maps for you to borrow.
